i am getting an epiphone casino and i am wondering some things regarding amps.
1. Would my current amp: Laney mxd15 hardcore sound alright for practicing?
2. I am going to be doing gigging at pubs and at my school and places like that. How many watts would i need on my amp?
3. Can you help me on choosing an amp to get at the right amount of wattage which will sound good with an epiphone casino at the cheapest possible price?

if you are playing with a band in clubs or the like you will need an amp with a 12″ speaker and at least 50 watts. There are many amps that fit this description so head on down to your local music stores and try out as many as you can. There are the usual name brands but there are also some very good brands that aren’t as well known. Talk to the sales people and ask them about features and prices and they will be happy to get you into the right amp for you
I live in Michigan and I’ve been to Detroit several times. This article highlights the extreme negatives of Detroit and ignores anything that is the least bit positive. How can anyone read Rolling Stone and take it seriously? This dude makes Detroit look like some apocalyptic war zone. It’s typical Rolling Stone sensationalist negativity. He just wanted to take his story in one direction, truth be damned.
I’ve always known this magazine was trash, and this article is solid proof.
Did he look at the new casinos?
Did he look at some of the new strip malls and condos?
The new stadiums and arenas?

He makes absolutely no mention of anything positive. He just wants to pass the city off as this hellhole no one should go near. It doesn’t even sound like the Detroit I know.

I definitely agree of what Rolling Stone make it sound like, and it does make it sound like a hellhole that nobody can respect. Although, can you really trust Rolling Stone magazine, a bunch of people who are rockers who can’t get over younger generations? I’ve never really this magazine, and the only times I’ve ever had were through musical references, but this article made me mad. Although, Detroit I agree with him is on an economical downfall, who isn’t though? I mean the whole country is debt and Michigan happens to be second worst unemployment level right now. Although, people still don’t see why Michigan is different from a lot of places. Also in this article he also singles out all the races in Michigan, it is a diverse group of people and some need to learn to respect that. Detroit is one of the most urbanized places in the country, and with one of the countries highest unemployment levels ever, who really needs a care right now.
Overall, I think that before an article is posted, they should explore it deeper because Michigan isn’t that bad. We are in an economic crisis but isn’t everyone in the country? Michigan is still a great place to me, but it needs some work.
